As a member and part owner of the credit union, you are considered a shareholder. Therefore, your savings account is referred to as a Share Account.
A Share (Savings) Account is similar to a passbook savings account at a bank or savings and loan with one important exception: The credit union Share Account pays a higher dividend (interest). Call the credit union for the current rate. Dividends are paid based on the average daily balance and are posted monthly.
Money Market Account
Minimum balance required is $10,000.00. It is a checking account with three withdrawals allowed per month. The rate for a balance of $10,000 - $24,999 is 1.00% above the share rate. The rate on a balance of $25,000 + is 1.80% above the share rate.
